Total Systems Approach

Our exclusive RCS HVAC coordination service, X-factor™, makes curb planning and installation hassle free. Simply give us the HVAC unit model number and we give you the correct curb size and duct layout for the selected unit. In addition, once the unit model number is provided, we are able to recommend the best orientation for the unit as well as determine both the minimum purlin spacing for ductwork clearance and maximum unit weight, all of which assist in making the building engineer’s job much easier. This RCS exclusive service ensures that the supply and return duct drops are properly coordinated with the purlin spacing thus eliminating purlin splicing which ultimately saves you time and money. That’s what we call X-factor™. And that’s what makes you the hero.

TRAC Rail Over 50,000 Installations - Zero Structural Failures

Since 1996, Roof Curb Systems has been a leader in innovation by developing roof penetration systems for the pre-engineered metal building industry. Our core roof curb support product, the TRAC Rail Floating Curb Support System, has been successfully installed over 50,000 times without a single structural failure.

Within our industry, there is a growing demand for manufacturers of construction products to provide relevant records of various approvals and case-by-case field calculations. As an industry leader, Roof Curb Systems recently commissioned the expertise of a major structural engineering firm licensed in 50 states to assist in the analysis of our TRAC Rail Curb Support System and developing calculations, based on the 2006 International Building Code, in the following three categories: dead loads, wind loads, and seismic.

Calculations were based on information derived from two different brands of HVAC Units, ranging from three to 15 tons (320—1800 lbs.) with both narrow and wide side orientations. Calculations were also run based on various purlin spacings: 42" OC, 48" OC, 54" OC, and 60" OC. In addition to analyzing and developing calculations on the HVAC units, two different categories of roof fans of various sizes and weights were also analyzed.

There were three categories in which calculations were preformed:

We are proud to report that Roof Curb Systems passed with no failures in all three categories.

In our continued effort to be a successful industry leader, our next step is to apply for Florida Approval status. This process is expected to take six months. It is the goal of Roof Curb Systems to be the first manufacturer in our industry to offer a Roof Penetration System that includes a Florida Approval.

Our Roof Curb Insulation has gone GREEN!

Our Roof Curb Insulation has gone GREEN! Roof Curb Systems is using Insulation Board with ECOSE® technology by Knauf Insulation. Knauf insulation is the first to offer a formaldehyde free binder.

ECOSE® Technology

The Latest Welding technology Offers Better Quality & Price.

Roof Curb Systems uses the latest (cutting Edge) in Welding technology to offer Quality & Price. Over the past several years Roof Curb Systems migrated its Metal building Roof Curbs to Aluminum. One of the primary advantages of using Aluminum is the welds will never rust. However welding aluminum historically has required a greater skill level as most fabricators will use a very slow and expensive Tig Welding process (GTAW). In order to offer our customers competitive pricing Roof Curb Systems had to find a different welding process as Tig Welding was too slow of a processes and made our price point too expensive. During a trip to Fabtech, the worlds largest fabricating technology trade show we found a better way.Roof Curb Systems converted all aluminum welders to OTC DAIHEN's welding equipment. OTC DAIHEN has always been a world leader in the robotic welding sector. Roof Curb Systems found that the OTC DAIHEN welders offers a superior quality weld and actually welds faster that traditional MIG welding (GMAW).
We have greater production uptime and quality with out increasing your costs.
